the soul of

windows to infinity

Notes from the author

Every great universe begins with a simple idea.

where it all started

Letter sent by Lucía, sculptor and member of the creative team of Windows to Infinity, to Ramón Colomer, the creator of the project.

Amid the echoes of an old train station, your dream began.

There, where time stands still and light passes through the glass, you saw the endless corridor. Each window spoke to you with a different voice: seas, creatures, trains, entire worlds. You moved forward without fear, with the certainty that everything you imagined could exist. And when you awoke, the dream had a face, a form, a name: Windows to Infinity.

For from that moment a vision was born that no longer belongs only to the dream, but to all who look—and dream again.

The Endless Universe

Some dreams appear in an instant, while others need years to find their true form.
Windows to Infinity was born from a dream: to create a universe where art, imagination, and emotion merge to give life to worlds that can exist only as an idea.

For more than six years, ideas, characters and landscapes have found their own soul. Each window opens up a different story, but they all share a common purpose: stir emotions, surprise and gain self-awareness.

This catalog does not represent the end, but rather the beginning of a universe that will continue to grow as long as there is a story to imagine.

How my first character was born

Captain Isabella

Every character begins as a simple idea.

Sometimes it is a silhouette, a glance, or a gesture that appears almost without one realizing it. This is how Isabella was born.

From the very beginning, I was determined to create a character who embodied leadership, freedom, and the ability to blaze new trails. I wasn't looking for a hero who stood out solely for her bravery, but rather a woman capable of inspiring through her intelligence, her determination, and the way she faced any challenge.

Over time, it gradually transformed. Every sketch, every change of costume, pose, or expression helped me discover who she really was. More than designing a character, I felt like I was building a personality.

I never imagined Isabella merely as the star of an adventure. For me, she has always symbolized the courage to challenge established norms and demonstrate that true leadership is not a matter of gender, but of character, vision, and determination.

Her story also speaks of freedom: the freedom to explore new horizons, make decisions without fear, and shape one's own destiny without ever compromising who we are.

Over time, Isabella came to be one of the pillars upon which Windows to Infinity began to grow. Her evolution reminded me that great stories almost always spring from a simple idea... and the decision never to stop believing in it.

When imagination took another form

The birth of Vulkron

I thought that The End of the Countdown was ready.

The story worked, the characters were established, and the composition convinced me. To me, the world was complete.

But every time I looked at it, I felt something was missing. I couldn’t tell what it was. It was simply that feeling which, as an artist, tells you that the work has not yet had the final word.

And then Vulkron appeared.

It ended up becoming the most important piece of the entire scene. His gigantic figure opens up the immense crater that cuts across the city and completely transforms the visual impact of the work.

This is what creation means.

You think you’re finished, but a new idea forces you to go back, modify characters, rework scenes, and start all over again.

“You never stop building a world; there simply comes a moment when you decide it is time to share it with others.”

The Souls of Infinity

Messages and Values

Art as Consciousness

During the creative process of Windows to Infinity, I never set out to write messages. They simply appeared, as if the works themselves wanted to reveal what they held within.

Each world, each character, and each story has left me with a reflection on what I consider truly important: compassion, respect, freedom, memory, and a love for life.

I didn't add these values at the end. They were born alongside each creation. They are the invisible thread connecting this entire universe, and the reason why I want every work to move, inspire, and invite reflection.

If a single glance changes after contemplating a work of art, art has already fulfilled its mission.

For more than four decades, I have devoted my life to imagining, drawing, and creating worlds that do not exist but that, in some way, I have always felt to be very real.

I never thought of art as a simple representation of reality. For me, creating means going a step further: building places where imagination, emotion, and beauty can meet to awaken something in the beholder.

This is how Windows to Infinity was born. What began as an idea, some sketches, and a personal dream has ended up becoming a shared universe. Today, I am blessed with an extraordinary team of sculptors, designers, technicians, and creators working with me to continue bringing this project to life and helping it grow every day.

Together, we share the same vision of art: not as an end in itself, but as a language capable of stirring emotions, inspiring, and creating memories that linger long after the experience has ended.

This has always been my true purpose. Not to create an exhibition, but a universe capable of making those who choose to step through one of its windows dream.

“Art does not end in what we see. It begins in what we feel.”
